It's official!

I am a BYU graduate! I know I had a long post full of pictures of graduation back in April but that was just walking. I had to finish up an internship during the Spring/Summer terms before I got my diploma. But last week my diploma got here. YAY! So now I just need to find a job. No easy task in this economy. I loved my college experience. I loved the classes I took and I love my major. I really want to find a job in my field but that might not be possible right now. Part of me (a big part) is glad to be done with school- no more tests, no more papers. However, another part of me kind of wishes someone would hand me a syllabus that would tell me what is coming in the next few months. Either way I'm excited to find a job and get started in my career!

DHS Graduation and California

Jonny and I went home this weekend for his sister Kirstin's graduation. It was a surprise for his whole family so that was fun. It was a really good graduation, Kirstin sang so that was fun. We left Thursday evening and so we got in at about 5 am so that was tiring and it was annoying because there was tons of construction everywhere. So most of our trip looked like the picture below, orange cones lining the freeway.I had a surprise when I got home. Karleigh and my mom had redone my room without telling me. (Taryn this pictures are for you! Sorry they aren't the best but you get the idea.) I love it, I think it looks great. I was also surprised at how dark little Tokyo had gotten, I thought she was Boston! On Friday before the graduation Kars, Mom and I got pedicures. Always fun. I also got to have lunch with Darcey at Dos, so that was fun especially since I couldn't stay for her graduation party.

The graduation was nice, and it was cool outside so that was nice. I think my high school graduation was well into the 90s.After graduation I kinda just went to bed because I was exhausted.
Saturday was a nice relaxing day went to lunch Jonny and Cale. Took a nap. Went to a play put on by the Young Men and Young Women in out home ward. It was a parody on the story of Esther from the Bible. It was a musical and all the songs were from other musicals but they changed the words to fit the story. I actually liked it a lot. Then I went to UP, again, with Jonny's family and then went home and watched Fired Up with my family.
I had a little stowaway.
We headed back to Utah around 1ish. Sadly we left all of our cats with Jonny's parents so he can find a place to live and then we will bring them back. We made the trip back in good time which was nice. At one point I was not happy not only were we leaving California behind but the sun was behind us and a big storm cloud was in front of us. And it didn't even give us any cool lightening. That was pretty much my weekend. I loved being home and being with my family. The trip was too short but I had to get back for work.

BYU GRADUATION!

I did it, I graduated from BYU! I really can't believe it, the past four years went so fast. (Just a warning this blog will be somewhat long and have lots of pictures. Taryn this is mostly for you, you can really feel like you were there!) My parents came out for graduation and I was very happy to have them here to celebrate with me. On Thursday there was the big commencement ceremony where all the graduates are together. President Uchtdorf and Elder Nelson spoke. It was very cool, Katie and I walked in together. I was also happy to find the girls from my senior group and to get a picture with them.I was able to find Jonny and my parents in the crowd and they were able to see me so that was cool. We got lots of pictures after. This is my favorite picture of Katie and me.
Jonny's family was there for Aaron's graduation so I got a picture with his sisters. Yes, Hannah is almost as tall as me and I am in heels and she is not.
Of course I got a few pictures with Jonny and Mom and Dad. Here is one with Jonny, Katie and me.And of course I had to get pictures with the BYU sign!Friday was the convocation ceremony where we actually walked and received our diplomas. We were so lucky and our ceremony was at 8 am! Which meant we had to be there by 7:15, I was not happy but it wasn't too bad. Luckily it wasn't too long and we were lucky to have Elder Oaks speak to us. Sadly I could not see my parents and Jonny and they could not see me because there was an organ in the way.
We went over to the building my major is in since that is where most of my final two years were spent.
The classic holding the graduate pose. I'm so happy Jonny was there and that he woke up early to come see me!
Giving Dad my Stole of Gratitude, he helped so much financially and emotionally. It would have been much harder for me to do it without his support. I love him so much and he deserved to be appreciated.
One with Mom, this would also have been so hard without her. She was always there for me and I love her so much.
So that was about it. I'm done, I am a BYU graduate! I loved my four years at BYU. Thank you to everyone who helped me through those years. I could not have done it without you. My parents, my sisters, Jonny, my professors, my friends and my Heavenly Father. I'm excited to be done and nervous and excited about the future.
