Obviously

On Friday night some of the roommates went to Hailey's house in Mapleton to spend the night. I know it seems weird since we all live together but it is still fun to get out of the apartment and have a sleepover like you did when you were younger. We had fun playing with the Wii, (which made us all very sore the next day, tennis and boxing are killer) eating food, talking and watching, the love story of our generation, Titanic. I feel asleep during parts of it but I still love that movie. I t has been forever since I have seen it all the way through, I always start at the part where Jack stops Rose for jumping off the edge of the ship and then stop watching when the boat goes under, so I miss the last like 30 mins. I totally forgot how sad it was! It is amazing but so sad.

Hailey's family also has TONS of edited DVDs so Ashley and I went through and made a list of all the ones we wanted to see but couldn't because they were rated R. So last night Jonny, Ashley and I watched I Heart Huckabees. I didn't know much about it other than remembering it looked really weird! But it was AMAZING! It was so funny I could not stop laughing, Mark Wahlberg is hilarious! I think his role in this movie is my favorite of all his roles, it is different from what he normally does but he was great. It is really weird and most of the time you just sit there wondering what in the world is going on but it is awesome! It's all about existentialism and what is reality what isn't and are we all connected, so of course it doesn't make sense but I was very entertained! Now it is back to homework and all that.

Side note...Taryn is coming on Wednesday and I can't wait! Hopefully the gross slushy rain/snow we have going right now will clear up and the weather will be good!

Hob Nobbing with the Rich and Famous

The 25th annual Sundance Film Festival was in Park City this weekend, so like I have done every year (but one) that I have been here I went up and tried to see famous people. There was one BIG difference this year...I actually saw some, and actually saw a lot! Up to this point in my life I had seen Val Kilmner at the LAX and Amanda from America's Next Top Model and 6 Flags, so it was really exciting to see lots of people. I went with Karleigh, Lexi, Hailey, Ashley and Cecily on Sat and then Karleigh, Ashley and I went up again on Monday because it was a holiday. So here is the list for Sat: Patton Oswalt (Spence from King of Queens), Alia Shawkat (Maeby from Arrested Development), a guy from the Ringer who has the best line, Samantha Brown (I didn't know her but she has a Travel Channel show), Nick Cannon, Paris Hilton, and Daniel Franzese (Damian from Mean Girls). The list for Monday: Robin Williams (we didn't talk to him), Kristen Stewart (Bella from Twilight), Peter Gallagher (Sandy from the O.C.), Andie MacDowell (she was in Groundhog Day), John Cleese, Chris Rock (he did not look happy), Daniel Franzese again (we got a picture with this time), Matthew Gray Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds), Edward Herrmann (the grandpa from Gilmore Girls), Christopher McDonald (he is in Happy Gilmore), Aisha Tyler (we were told but we weren't sure, she was on Friends), Eliza Dushku (from Bring it On) and Benjamin Bratt (he was in Miss Congeniality). I think that is everyone. We were searching from John Krasinski (Jim from the Office) but we had no luck! Jonny is in DC for the inagural address and saw tons of famous people too. One last thing, we were walking up the street and some guy started filming us and following us, I think it is because we had kinda matching jackets, so that was weird but cool. Sorry this one is so long and just packed with names, but it was exciting and cool. So here are some pictures.
Nick Cannon getting interview, for those who don't really know him he is Mariah Carey's hubby.

Matthew Gray Gubler from Criminal Minds. He was SO nice and seemed really happy we asked for a picture. Ashley is now totally in love with him, she thinks he's hot.

Peter Gallager and Andie MacDowell, I don't know who the other guy is.

Richard Gilmore! He was also nice.

We had to ride a VERY crowded bus to get to Main Street but it was worth it!

Wedding Weekends

I had two roommates get married this month. First was Jess to Steve on Jan 10th. I was a bridesmaid with Ashley and Katie. It was really beautiful, her reception was at a church house and you could barely recognized it, it had lights and lanterns and arches, really beautiful. They looked so happy and in love.Ashley and Miguel got married the next weekend. They both looked so happy and in love, it was really wonderful to see. Their reception was also beautiful as was the bride of course. They started dating while taking a ballroom dance class together so their first dance was a waltz followed by a salsa. It was so fun and so unique. I'm so happy for all of them

Last Semester

Sadly the break is over so I had to leave nice California for cold, snowy Utah. When Karleigh and I landed in Salt Lake last night it was about 10 degrees (brrrr). The parking lot at my apartment complex is coated in a nice sheet of ice, that makes driving fun. It is currently about 18 degrees and snowing, woohoo. Classes started today which means that I have started my final semester as an undergraduate! I can't believe it, I'm excited but also a little scared. I'll be starting my career soon which is crazy, it does not feel like I've already done four years of school. Hopefully it is a good semester and I get everything done that I need to!
